The song in the Hotel Lobby AI trend is "Hotel Lobby," a 2022 track by Quavo and Takeoff of Migos, from their performance on COLORS.
COLORS is the YouTube channel known for single-color studio sets. The trend copies that performance: two rappers at an orange wall, one hanging mic.
We don't provide the audio, and GetRapVideo's Hotel Lobby AI never uses it. Every video gets an original two-voice trap song written for the two people or pets in it, for $9.90 per video.
Where the song comes from
- Artists. Quavo and Takeoff, uncle and nephew, two of the three members of Migos.
- Year. 2022, the year they released music as a duo.
- The performance people copy. Their COLORS session: a plain orange room, a vintage mic hanging from above, the two of them trading lines and leaning in together. The bright orange set is why the trend is instantly recognizable.
- Takeoff died in November 2022, a few months after the song came out.
The phrase people quote from it is the title itself, "hotel lobby." That's what most people search for: "hotel lobby migos," "hotel lobby ai," "Migos AI."
How the song became an AI trend
In September 2026, people began uploading two photos to AI tools and CapCut templates. These put the two faces into the COLORS performance, with the original audio. Complex reported on September 27, 2026 that it spread on TikTok after a version starring two cats. Google searches for "hotel lobby ai" peaked in late September 2026.
The most used CapCut template, created September 16, 2026, uses the original song. It had about 1.38 million uses by October 26, 2026. For the full story, see what the Hotel Lobby AI trend is.
Why we use original songs instead
We decided not to use "Hotel Lobby" or any other existing song, for three reasons:
- It isn't ours to give. The recording and the lyrics belong to their rights holders. Clips that reuse them can be muted, blocked or taken down. And we can't sell you a song we don't have the rights to.
- Real artists' likeness. Putting your face in place of Quavo's or Takeoff's means using real people's image, and one of them has died. We never face-swap real artists, alive or not.
- Your own song is better content. A song with your two names and your own jokes is something only you two have. Friends watch it for the lyrics, not just the meme.
So we keep the look (two people or pets at a bright orange wall, one hanging vintage mic, a verse each and the chorus together) and replace the song.
What your song sounds like instead
- Beat: trap, the sound of the trend, preselected. You can switch to boom bap, drill, pop rap, latin trap or comedy.
- Voices: two, a male or female voice for each of you.
- Structure: verse 1 for the first person, verse 2 for the second, a chorus together.
- Lyrics: written by the AI from your names and details, free and editable, in English, Spanish, Portuguese or French.
"Couch is my throne and I don't let nobody in" is one line Mango (an orange tabby) and Shadow (a black cat) rap in our two-cat sample. You hear the whole song free before paying, and your first song each day costs nothing.
Then pick 15 seconds and add the two photos. The video (15 seconds, vertical 9:16, with sound, lip-synced) is ready in about 5 minutes. Here's how to make a Hotel Lobby AI video from two photos, step by step.
